Hey there!

I'm Alex, an adventure obsessed, outdoorsy girl that can be found anywhere the sun shines!

I began making pottery in a high school ceramics course in 2011, and took classes on and off again through college. In 2017, I graduated from The University of Georgia with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. After I graduated, I moved to the Atlanta area to begin a career as a Graphic Designer. I was working as a solo designer at a small company and quickly started to miss the creative environment that I had formed in art school. Working on the computer every day left me eager to get my hands covered in clay again! I joined a local pottery studio in September 2017 and began my new venture that quickly turned into my passion. I decided to name this new endeavor Autumn & Sage. I wanted something that felt like me - thrives in the sun, joyful, and free spirited. What could be more fitting than a name after a wild flower?!

I consider myself an all around creative! I enjoy fusing my design background with ceramics and other elements of my small business. I am inspired by natural formations, flora and fauna from my travels and backyard adventures. My focus is on functional pieces that are for everyday use with an emphasis on the natural element that clay brings. You will find that with most of my work, I leave the exterior surface of the clay exposed. I love the speckled canvas that clay creates and the connection to the outdoors that you feel when holding the raw stoneware.

My hope is to share what I love with friends, family, and anyone who craves creativity and adventure as much as I do. I want to inspire others and bring joy through my pieces. Thank you so much stopping by and checking out my site!
